Thomas “Willie” Hugh Wilson Jr., age 81, of Jacksonville, Alabama passed away on Friday, November 1, 2024. Willie was born in AL.

 

Willie is survived by his son James Wilson (Cynthia); his sister Patricia Patty (Richard); his grandchildren Matthew Wilson (Amber) and Emily Self (Matthew), along with his great-grandchildren Owen, Savannah, and Liam.

He was preceded in death by his wife Jane Nuss Wilson and his parents Thomas Hugh and Jessie Wilson.

A graveside service for Willie will take place on Friday, November 8, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Forestlawn Gardens, officiated by Wendall Jenson.

Willie lived in Calhoun County and graduated from Jacksonville High School. He also attended Jacksonville State University, where he was a member of the Marching Southerners. By profession, he was a Millwright and retired from AOD. Additionally, he was a Master Mason of Hiram #42 and a passionate Ham Radio Operator He was an active member of the CCARA. Willie loved playing golf and enjoyed sitting on the balcony of the beach condo while watching the children play.
